Tex Roofing
31 people have reviewed Tex Roofing on Google, and between them they leave it at 4.7 out of 5 — 91st by review count among the 99 roofers listed for Austin.
Austin roofers average 4.94 once you weight by how many reviews each carries, which makes the score here 0.24 below the field. Scores in this trade cluster tightly, so the count is what separates companies: against a median of 110 reviews, this one holds 31.

How to reach them
Tex Roofing lists Austin as its base, and publishes the number below. We are not affiliated with this company, we do not take a commission on anything you arrange with them, and we did not ask their permission to list them — everything on this page is public.

What the state register shows
We could not match Tex Roofing to a single entry in the Texas Comptroller’s list of active sales tax permit holders with enough confidence to publish a date. That is common and it is not a mark against the company: businesses file under a legal name that is often nothing like the name on the truck, and we would rather leave the line blank than attach another company’s filing to this one.
You can search the register yourself, free, at data.texas.gov, and it is worth doing before you sign anything.
The same company on Yelp
Tex Roofing also has a Yelp listing: 4.5 out of 5 from 27 reviews, against 4.7 from 31 on Google. The scores are within 0.2 of each other; the sample sizes are not.
Neither number is wrong. They are counts of different people. That is precisely why ranking roofers by a single site’s star average ranks them partly by which site they bothered to cultivate.
Its Yelp placement on that page is a paid one — the card’s link runs through Yelp’s advertising redirect, /adredir?ad_business_id=…&campaign_id=…. Buying an ad is ordinary business and says nothing about the work. It does mean the position you saw it in was bought, not earned.
Before you agree to anything
- Get the certificate of insurance and read the dates. Texas does not license roofing contractors, so “licensed and insured” only ever means the second word. The certificate comes from the insurer, not the roofer.
- Get three numbers. The spread on an Austin re-roof is wide enough that one quote tells you nothing about whether it is fair.
- Nobody pays your deductible. If a salesman offers to absorb it, that is insurance fraud under Texas law and you would be a party to it, not a bystander.
- Ask when the company was formed, and compare the answer to the filing date above where we have one.
Where this page’s facts come from
Name, phone number, city, rating and review count: this company’s public Google Maps listing, read on 11 September 2026. Ratings move — if the number here looks stale, it is, and Google is the authority, not us. Yelp figures and ad status: Yelp’s own search page for Austin roofers, same date.
We do not run a review system, we did not score this company, and no one on this site pays for placement or can pay to be removed. If you own this business and something here is wrong, tell us and it is corrected the same day — you do not have to explain why.
